Membership Rules
Chevre reserves the right to charge members a joining fee, a monthly subscription fee for admission to the Bibliotheque premises, and special event entrance fees that may occur at varying times. The right to waive any such fees shall be at the discretion of Chevre.
By completing payment of membership via our website, you agree to be bound by the following rules:
1. Chevre shall have sole discretion as to who shall become a member of the VIP or classic membership at La Bibliotheque.
2. Renewal of membership is automatic each month and payment is charged to an account on file, unless a cancellation is processed 3 days prior to the end of the month.
3. Membership renewals are reviewed by Chevre on a monthly basis. The decision is final and without appeal.
4. We will use the personal information you provide us in connection with your membership, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Classic members will be provided with 2 guest vouchers per month.
6. VIP members are allowed 1 guest to accompany them at any time the member is at the library.
7. Guests are responsible for any costs they infer during their visit and are bound by all rules and policies applicable to members.
8. No member or guest is to wear cologne, perfume, scented lotion, or smell of smoke before entering the library as it affects the sensorial experience of the other wine enthusiasts.
9. La Bibliotheque is for adults only.
10. Glassware may not be taken out of La Bibliotheque except by permission of the Sommelier.
11. Members and their guests must not approach, disturb or solicit others in the library with whom they are not personally acquainted. Doing so may lead to suspension or termination of membership.
12. No outside food or beverage is permitted. Corkage policies to apply to beer and wine.
13. No music is allowed that is not sanctioned by Chevre.
14. To ensure members can read or focus, no video calls (zoom, skype, etc) or phone calls may be made within La Bibliotheque. Text messages are allowed and designated call areas will be available.
15. To respect other members' decisions on anonymity, recording or photography is limited to food, wine, beer, and those of personal relationship
16. No member or guest shall purchase, sell, use or possess any object which is illegal or offensive while on House premises or in the immediate vicinity thereof. Violation of this rule will result in immediate dismissal from the building and termination of membership.
17. No animals will be allowed in the Bibliotheque except for legally recognized and certified service dogs which may not be seated on chairs or the bar.
18. All books must remain in La Bibliotheque unless permission is granted by the Sommelier.
19. Members and guests are to know that the building is equipped with various video recording devices to provide safety for both Chevre and its members.
20. Any items left at Chevre are not the responsibility of Chevre.
21. The Sommelier reserves the right to deny pouring alcohol at any time they see fit.
